Recruiting New Rebels
The Ole Miss football team has had a rocky season so far. With some senior players injured, there have been instances where a freshman team member has to take over their spot. It is vital that these freshmen members are qualified to play football and that they are at Ole Miss because they can truly play the game.
Before deciding on where they want to play football, each prospect visits colleges where they are invited to come see the school and the school's football team. The prospects that come visit Ole Miss always come on a game day a few hours before the game actually starts. They are taken on a tour through the Ole Miss Indoor Practice Field as well as being able to be on field during the Pre-Game to watch the players warm up. They are then escorted to their seats, and then they get to enjoy the game.
This past Saturday, only 80 prospects came to Ole Miss where in the past few games there have been up to 175 prospects. More prospects seem to come when Ole Miss is playing a college that is more of a rival to them. With the Mississippi State game coming up in a few weeks, the recruiters at Ole Miss are already preparing for a big crowd to show up.
